About Study Course
Objective
Acquire knowledge and skills on the use of a variety of trainers, free weights and dumbbells, acquire the relevant terminology, as well as the techniques and safety principles for exercising, providing the basis for professional activities in the field of health sports.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of anatomy of the human support and motion apparatus, physiological and biochemical processes of physical load, as well as basic principles of biomechanics and kinesiology of human movement are required. The student should be able to identify the main muscle groups and their functions during movement, as well as understand the health effects of physical activity and the basic principles of safe load.Prior to the completion of the study course, the student shall have the following pre-knowledge:Knowledge:on the anatomy of the human support and movement apparatus (main muscle groups, joints, planes and directions of motion);on physiological basics of physical exercise (muscle function, energy supply during load, adaptation of the body to load);on the impact of physical activity on health and basic principles of health-promoting physical activity;on the basic principles of biomechanics and kinesiology of human movement.Skills:identify the main muscle groups and their functions during movement;to recognise and describe basic types of movement in the performance of physical exercises;analyse simple physical activity from the point of view of biomechanics and load effects.Competencies: abilityto apply basic knowledge of human movement and exercise to understand the principles and safety aspects of exercise performance in a fitness environment.
Learning outcomes
1.Describes strength and cardio machines and their types, names and basic functions.
1.Demonstrates and explains the correct exercise technique with exercise machines, free weights and dumbbells.
1.Use strength and cardio machines, free weights and dumbbells independently and responsibly in fitness classes.
