Objective

To develop student's understanding of sports psychology and the psychological aspects of sports, the main trends and branches of psychology, research methods; psychological processes, personality, individual's emotional and cognitive development at different ages, aspects that influence personality development.

• characterizes the individual's cognitive and emotional development at different ages;
• identifies environmental factors in sports;
• describes the types of motives in sports;
• recognizes different emotions and feelings;
• understands the psychological aspects of physical, technical and tactical preparation;
• describes the main types of psychological training;
• describes the psycho-emotional aspects of sports competitions;
• characterizes the psychological preparedness of athletes in training and competitions;
• understands the socio-psychological aspects of sports.
