Objective

Help to understand the place and role of the information law in practical work, which would contribute to gaining a set of theoretical knowledge of matters related to the principles of processing an application, a person’s right to information and classification of information.
Improve the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to the process of carrying out practical tasks through independent work. Build a personal (student) competence in the field of information law.

Prerequisites

Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Of information, its amount, the types of information needed for solving legal cases, reasoning and preparation of legal documents; about obtaining and processing of information.

Skills

1.• Skills to analyse, synthesize and evaluate the location and role of the information law in practical work; scientific research skills.
• Communication skills – communicate with other students of the law science study programme on issues of information law; demonstrate social skills and emotional intelligence. Develop reasoning and ability to listen to opinions.
• Orientation for further learning skills – constantly structure own learning, analyse own level of knowledge and rationally add to, select and evaluate the sources of literature. Identify and formulate problems, find their causal relationship, i.e., the root of the problem and other constructive solutions to the problem.
• Other general skills – take responsibility for their decisions and activities, make rational decisions and find solutions in unforeseen and changing circumstances, adapt to new situations and be open to change, take leadership and initiative and face up to consequences, comply with ethical standards.

Competence

1.Ability to perform specific tasks related to the information law, ability to use knowledge and skills for professional and personal development. Application of legal provisions not only “mechanically” but in line with public interests and priorities, thereby synthesizing the skills in working with regulatory framework and the comprehension of the law in general.
