Objective
Get an idea about materials used in technical orthopedics, materials usage opportunities, their characteristics, different material advantages and disadvantages, develop understanding about materials combination possibilities.
Prerequisites
Introduction to specialty.
Learning outcomes
Basic knowledge about types of materials used in technical orthopedics, as a result student will be able to describe and divide materials in groups by their charasteristics. Understanding about different materials usage and their combinations.
Students will be able to determine different materials used in technical orthopedics, to find description for given material using manufacturer's catalogs, as well as be able to explain given material usage possibilities in technical orthopedics.
Materials categories and subcategories.
Possibility of material usage according to final product specifics or limited opportunities of production.
Types of consumables and their characteristics.
