About Study Course
Objective
To learn the principles of oral surgery radiology diagnostics and conservative and surgical treatment in depth. Learn surgical treatment of complicated tooth extractions, cysts, benign jaw tumors, osteomyelitis, osteonecrosis, and oroantral communication. Gain competence in oral surgery.
Learning outcomes
1.Identifies and is able to explain found deviations from normal anatomy and physiology in extra- and intraoral structures.
Able to explain possible pathogenesis.
Able to classify pathology and choose treatment according to the competence of oral surgery.
Knows emergency equipment and knows how to use it in practice.
1.Recognizes and knows how to differentiate the clinical picture of the spread of infection, systemic sepsis. Assesses the respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.
In case of local infection, he can perform i/o incision, in case of abscess or phlegmon, perform e/o incision and drainage of pus.
Able to assess the patient's general condition, to prepare the patient for surgery, consulting with other specialists.
Able to develop an operation plan, including tooth extraction, and backup plans also in case of oroantral communication.
1.Can work independently in oral surgery.
