Objective

To develop students’ knowledge and practical skills in the field of project management and methods according to international requirements of professional competence of project management, as well as to develop students’ skills in preparation of project proposals (justification), project planning, organisation, supervision and conclusion.

Prerequisites

None.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students name, define and explain the following: • the nature of the project, guidelines for project management; • coordination of the interests of the various project stakeholders; • creating and managing a project team.

Skills

1.Students understand, interpret and discuss the following: • internal and external risk factors of the project, measures to mitigate internal risks and assumptions on external risks; • objectively controllable criteria of the project, their verification methods and sources of information.

Competence

1.Students use, test and analyse the following: • project coordination, supervision and re-planning; • project work packages and roadmap. Students integrate, merge, combine and discuss the following: • project life cycle planning, project change management; • planning and monitoring of project activities (work tasks), time and deadlines, investments and costs. Students are able to write a project application.
