Objective

To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in family medicine, using simulations, to the requirements of the regulations of the specialty, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of family medicine.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.The resident acquires and strengthens knowledge that will allow to understand and theoretically describe the process of indication and execution of practical manipulations in the practice of a family doctor, principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for children and adults, shock etiology, pathogenesis, principles of diagnosis and treatment, basics of artificial lung ventilation.
Able to explain the areas of responsibility and the most important tasks of the family doctor's practice staff in the simulated clinical situations included in the study course.

Skills

1.The resident will have acquired the following skills in a simulated environment: manipulations performed in a family doctor's practice (Otoscopy, rhinoscopy for children and adults, ear rinsing, removal of a foreign body from the external ear canal; gynecological examination of a patient, examination of a pregnant woman; examination of a patient per rectum; insertion of a urinary catheter; joint puncture; basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for children and adults; primary and secondary care of wounds).

Competence

1.The student is able to demonstrate successful integration of knowledge, skills and competencies by effectively participating in the implementation of simulated clinical situations.
