About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that would correspond to the general knowledge in transplant immunology and immunological criteria for the selection of the donor/recipient pair in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of transplantology, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
1.The resident acquires basic knowledge and competence in transplant immunology, immunological selection criteria and common immunological problems (pre-sensitization, rejection, DSA) and their diagnostic possibilities.
1.The resident will know how to determine the donor/recipient pair according to immunological criteria, determine the increased immunological risk in transplantation, and correctly determine the diagnostic algorithm.
1.The resident will be able to correctly determine the donor/recipient pair, observing the peculiarities of immunological selection, and determine the need for additional immunological examination.
