Objective

To raise awareness on different aspects of disability and factors, that has influence on it, as well as on interaction between work capacity and health conditions, their interaction, assessment of work capacity, role of rehabilitation in improvement of work capacity and social integration, in case of long-term health conditions.

Prerequisites

Knowledge on World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. Understand various aspects of functioning – body functions and structures, activities and participation, as well as its interaction with health condition and contextual factors.

Knowledge

Theoretical knowledge of current affairs based on work-related health evaluation.

Skills

Apply comprehensive principles of work ability assessment.

Competence

Student will be able to advise persons with health and functional limitations in matters of rehabilitation, social and professional integration, in matters of health risks, their assessment and health promotion when returning to the work environment, as well as assessment of the consequences of diseases in a biopsychosocial aspect.
