The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Institute of Public Health is hosting a Health Systems and Policy Monitor (HSPM) network meeting, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, dedicated to questions related to the health system and healthcare policy. The meeting will take place on 19 and 20 October, 2023.

The HSPM network was created in 1998 and is now the leading network of researchers for health systems and policies worldwide. Its aim is to give Europe’s health policy-makers and their advisors the evidence they need to design and implement the best possible policies for their countries. Latvia is represented at the HSPM network by Riga Stradiņš University.

More than 50 health systems researchers from Europe, USA, and Canada are scheduled to participate in the meeting on 19 and 20 October. Integrated healthcare, the lack of healthcare professionals and the impact of COVID-19 on healthcare systems are only a few of the planned discussion topics.
