Taking care of your health starts with knowing you are in good hands. Our team of certified general practitioners (GPs), resident doctors and nurses works to ensure that every appointment is safe, clear and genuinely helpful.
The Family Health Centre is a Rīga Stradiņš University health centre where qualified specialist care is available to everyone – students, staff members and anyone seeking high-quality healthcare.
An offer for RSU students only
The Health Pass is not a product on the open market. RSU created it for its own students, and the University pays most of the cost. Your payment is a student's share, not the real price of the care.
When you get ill in a new country, the hardest part is not being ill — it is not knowing where to go. The Pass removes that: one clinic next to campus, a doctor who already has your file, and a price you know in advance.

- A sexual and reproductive health consultation each semester — confidential, inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly
- A clinical psychologist consultation each semester — how serious is it, what to do now, where to go next. Appointment within 7 days
- Video consultations all year, and in-person visits when you need them
- The same clinic for your whole degree, so you never explain your history twice
What it costs
€105 a year with a valid EHIC, €190 without one or for non-EU students. One payment, not a subscription. RSU funds the remainder. Laboratory tests, manipulations and diagnostics are billed separately.

For Latvian residents
The Health Pass is designed for students who are not covered by the Latvian state health system. If you are a resident of Latvia, you are entitled to state-funded primary care, and you can register with a family doctor at our Centre in the usual way – at no cost to you.
To do that, simply e-mail us at fhcrsu[pnkts]lv (fhc[at]rsu[dot]lv) and tell us that you would like to register for state-funded services, and we will explain the next steps and arrange your first appointment.

- Rapid tests:blood glucose, CRP, haemoglobin, COVID-19, influenza, pregnancy, etc.
- Diagnostics: hearing and vision screening, ECG, dermoscopy, spirometry, intraocular pressure measurement
- Medical procedures:injections, wound care, etc.
- Vaccinationagainst a wide range of infections (tick-borne encephalitis, influenza, hepatitis A and B, diphtheria, meningococcal disease, etc.)
- Medical certificates and health assessments: for drivers, employers or insurance purposes
- Podiatry services:medical foot care, corrective nail treatment, treatment of ingrown toenails, and removal of corns and warts
- Duty doctor: If your health suddenly deteriorates, you do not have to wait for the next available appointment with your GP – our duty doctor sees patients with acute health problems in the afternoon. You should see the duty doctor if you develop an acute illness, a chronic condition worsens, or you need an assessment of a condition that cannot wait.

The Family Health Centre has cooperation agreements with the insurance companies If P&C Insurance, BTA, Seesam and Balta. Other insured clients should submit the receipt issued by the Family Health Centre to their insurance company to claim reimbursement of treatment costs.

What should I do outside the Family Health Centre’s opening hours?
Outside GP opening hours, you can receive medical advice and guidance on what to do in the event of an acute illness or a worsening chronic condition by calling the GP advisory telephone line on 66016001.
