Jūlija Makņa

Ms Jūlija Makņa has been working in the RSU International Admissions Office of the International Department since November 2022. She is a graduate of the University of Latvia, MA of Educational Sciences. 

The area of education both teaching and learning has been the sphere of her interest and career. She has 14 years background of teaching English as the second language and day-to-day communication with her secondary school students, preparing them for State school leaving exams and High School entrance exams. She has also experience in the field of High Education quality assessment procedures. 

Fields of expertise/responsibilities:

• International admissions process 
• Preparation of documents for international admissions
• Participation in international education fairs
• Direct communication with international applicants and cooperation with recruitment agencies
• Organisation of immigration procedures for applicants/students from Non EU/EEA countries
• Participation in different RSU events including Open Days and Welcome Week
