Welcome Week is designed to help you, as a new student, to settle into university life and get to know the study process.
What happens during Welcome Week?
All international students starting their studies in February 2026 are welcome to participate in Welcome Week from 27 January in the RSU Main Building.
During Welcome Week you will...
- meet other international students and staff from the International Department, the International Admissions Office, Student Services, and the International Student Association;
- receive the timetable for your study programme and information on how to use student information systems at RSU;
- have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the study process at the University;
- receive information about RSU health services and safety in Riga;
- receive information about immigration procedures;
- be able to participate in other activities organised by the International Department and the International Student Association (the programme of activities to be announced in January 2026).
Programme
Unless otherwise stated, all Welcome Week activities will take place in the RSU Main Building (Block K, Ground floor, Great Hall).
The Welcome Week activities mentioned in the programme below are preliminary and subject to change. The final programme for next Welcome Week will be confirmed in January 2026.
