LASE Journal of Sport Science
An international, peer-reviewed scientific journal in English, published by RSU LASE.
We are pleased to welcome you to the LASE Journal of Sport Science, an esteemed platform dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in the diverse field of health and sport science. Our journal serves as a forum for researchers, practitioners, and academics to share their insights, discoveries, and applications that shape the future of health, sports, and physical education.
The journal was created at the Latvian Academy of Sports Education (LASE) in 2010 and is published twice a year. After LASE was consolidated with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on 1 July 2024, the journal kept its brand and name, but with greater financial and intellectual power.
At LASE Journal of Sport Science, we are committed to promote rigorous scientific inquiry and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. From sports biomechanics to sports psychology, and pedagogy, sports technology to exercise physiology, and coaching strategies to high achievement in sports, health, and wellness studies.
Each publication reflects our commitment to quality, relevance, and accessibility, ensuring that sports professionals receive the latest and most relevant research. We are proud to bring together a global community of supporters who are passionate about making a difference in sport, education, and society.
We will continue our tradition of publishing the journal twice a year, as well as occasionally publishing a special issue for particular directions. For example, in 2018 we published a special issue on sport coaches’ development under the leadership of Prof. Pierre Trudel and Assoc. Prof. Diane Culver from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
We are grateful to our international Editorial Board, colleagues from many countries all over the world, for their responsiveness and persistent contribution to the improvement and further development of the LASE Journal of Sport Science.
