The Lifelong Learning Centre provides professional development, non-formal education, micro-credential programmes, and other lifelong learning opportunities. We make the knowledge generated by the university accessible to a wider audience beyond formal study programmes.

The Centre’s goal is to ensure that educational content tailored to the needs of the labour market and the knowledge society is accessible to everyone in Latvia and beyond. We create an environment where individuals can develop competences, enhance professional skills, and acquire new knowledge at any stage of life.

The Lifelong Learning Centre collaborates with the university’s structural units, teaching staff, industry professionals, and organisations to develop a relevant, high-quality, and practice-based learning offer.

Structure

The Lifelong Learning Centre’s operations are supported by two units:

  • Content Development and Service Offerings Unit plans and develops the range of lifelong learning programmes, collaborates with companies and organisations, identifies learning needs, and creates educational content tailored to target audiences. It also manages marketing and communication activities and promotes the Centre’s visibility;
  • Service Provision Unit organises and provides administrative support for the learning process, including participant registration, programme implementation, certificate issuance, and other related processes, ensuring high-quality and effective services.
