The elections for the new Council of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (SP, Studējošo pašpārvalde) took place from 25 October to 12 November. During the elections, all RSU students had the opportunity to apply to become a member of the council and vote for candidates from their faculty.

During the first two weeks, each student had the opportunity to stand as a candidate in the council elections, followed by a week-long voting process in which 2,013 students took part. The closing event of the RSU SP Council elections took place online on 13 November with performances by Elizabete Laura Pogante, Anna Niedra and Jānis Niedra.

RSU Rector Professor Aigars Pētersons gave a speech at the event, and former RSU SP Chair, Paula Feldmane, spoke about the year that has passed and thanked all senators, board members and administrators. Elizabete Paula Valguma, Head of Internal Cooperation & Human Resources expressed her gratitude to the Chair and all members of the council.

At the end of the event, the results and elected members of this year's council elections were revealed. The 2022 Council is made up of 36 students representing nine faculties and the RSU International Student Department.

  • Faculty of Medicine – five representatives: Katrīna Freimane, Anna Jete Gauja, Matīss Linde, Georgs Alberts Pimanovs, Klāvs Putenis
  • Faculty of Rehabilitation – four representatives: Anastasija Gavriļenko, Marija Meldra Kraukle, Evelīna Miltoviča, Rūdolfs Štāls
  • Faculty of Residency – one representative: Marija Terēze Viļumsone
  • Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare – five representatives: Ņikita Arefjevs, Dita Feldmane, Arta Hermane, Kristiāna Lodziņa, Kate Katrīna Vildiņa
