The anniversary issues of the scientific journal Socrates cover such topics as hate crimes, the criminological issues of human trafficking, police work methods, the impact of robotics on the healthcare system, child representation and other matters. Socrates is dedicated to legal research and is published in both Latvian and English.

The online journal Socrates was included in the Index Copernicus online database last year due to the amount of local and international researchers, practising lawyers, students and academics it attracted. The open-access journal is issued by the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Law that celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.

Socrates has been issued since 2015 and its 13 issues contain scientific articles about innovative research carried by not only well-known local and international authors (from Finland and Estonia, for example) but also by young and prospective researchers. Socrates not only covers traditional fields of law such as criminal law, civil law, administrative law and international private law, but also various innovative fields such as data protection rights, sports rights, medical and biomedical law.

Researchers are invited to submit articles for the upcoming issue of Socrates by 29 February.
