Students and medical residents from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) are welcome to apply for the international training programme AIRIS 2020 on the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Applications are open until June 5.

The training programme will provide an understanding into how artificial intelligence can contribute to solving the shortage of healthcare specialists around the world and to make healthcare services accessible to everyone.

AIRIS 2020 is designed as a summer training programme that will run for 2.5 months. The programme will include interactive online sessions, a wide collection of e-learning materials, video lectures and individual assignments. The programme is open to participants from a variety of European regions.

The programme is especially targeted at medical, engineering and economics students, as well as young physicians and radiologists under the age of 35.

The programme is offered by the Health Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Health) in cooperation with academic and industrial partners – Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, GE Healthcare and LEITAT Technology Center Barcelona.

Further information about AIRIS 2020

RSU has been a representative of EIT’s Health Knowledge and Innovation Community in Latvia since autumn 2018. EIT Health activities in Latvia have been coordinated by the RSU International Department.
