For Students
For RSU Employees

Because of the huge interest at the beginning of the year, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Research and Innovation Grant has opened applications again until 19 October. Students are once again given the unique opportunity to receive up to 4,000 EUR support to implement their research ideas.

If you apply for a grant, you can receive funding for chemical reagents, prototype materials, representation expenses and other necessary goods and services.

The first applications for the RSU Student Research and Innovation Grants took place in February this year. A total of 28 applications from a variety of fields, such as dentistry, paediatrics, genetics, cardiology, were received. The students’ ideas were extremely creative and innovative, and the amount of support they requested exceeded 100,000 EUR. This interest proved that students want to develop their ideas and are willing face to face the challenges this brings and that the only missing piece of puzzle is funding.

The teams that will be supported by grants will have a lot of work to do over the next two years to implement their projects and present the results. Teams are expected to participate at an international conference at the end of the project.

RSU students can also implement their initiatives and projects through various platforms, such as the RSU B-Space Business Incubator, vertically integrated projects, student scientific groups and the Researchers Academy.
