From 4 to 6 June, Institute of Public Health researcher Diāna Baltmane took part in a SHARE survey (research project on health, ageing and retirement) meeting that was held in Germany.  For three days the eighth stage of the project was discussed, with participants being shown new interview software, various interview versions were tried out and new questions included in the survey for the first time were discussed, for instance, additional questions in the cognitive section, modules on how one spends their time and health literacy.

The seminars gave the opportunity to discuss organisational matters regarding the 8th stage of the project in person, allowing for more qualitative and effective data gathering.

The SHARE survey is being implemented in Latvia for the second time and as the project has a longitudinal design, its participants are interviewed repeatedly in further stages, providing the opportunity to assess changes in dynamics.
