For Students

This year, students have the opportunity to get free tickets to the international tech start-up and technology conference TechChill 2020! The conference will take place on 20-21 February in Hanzas Perons in Riga. To get your tickets, you need to attend a cycle of student workshops from late October to mid-December. The first workshop will take place on October 22. Sign up is open until October 17: http://bit.ly/2n1SY3n

A total of 80 TechChill 2020 tickets will be given out to make the event more accessible to students. Those who will prove themselves to be truly motivated and interested in the start-up world at the workshops will get the opportunity to attend the most ambitious start-up and technology event in the Baltics. Attending the conference is itself an important prize, but the cycle of student workshops leading up to it will also provide many valuable insights.

One of TechChill's key tasks is to educate young people about the ecosystem of startups and help them develop their business skills. That is why the workshops on 22 October, 19 November and 12 December will include panel discussions with industry leaders, as well as hands-on sessions that will strengthen students' pitching skills and introduce start-ups and challenges that can come up.

For those students who do not manage to get their hands on one of the free tickets still have a good reason to attend the conference. A limited number of special tickets will be available. At 49 EUR these tickets provide a valuable opportunity to meet leading innovators in the technology world, and learn about the latest industry trends.

Rules for participating in student workshops:

  1. The workshop registration deadline is 17 October;
  2. Applying to the workshops is done individually, not in teams - one application per person;
  3. Both full-time and part-time students under the age of 29 can apply with a valid student ID;
  4. Proof of student status will be required on site;
  5. Student tickets are personalised and non-transferable;
  6. The conferrence is open to students from any country;
  7. Applications will not be available to the public.

TechChill volunteers can also gain a valuable experience. They will have the opportunity to see and experience how the conference is organised and to work with our production, communication and community building teams. In addition to the student workshops, TechChill also organizes TechChill Academy - a series of lectures and classes that allow our volunteers to grow, expand their knowledge and understanding of start-ups, and acquire a variety of useful skills. More information on how to become a TechChill 2020 volunteer will be available in November, so stay tuned!
