RSU Stands for Integrity, Collegial and Responsible Behaviour
In this era of information abundance, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) calls on everyone to remember and apply the basic principles outlined in the RSU Code of Ethics. These include integrity, collegiality and responsible behaviour. Doing so will allow us to collectively develop a knowledge-based society.
These principles of ethics can serve as support and guidance in ambiguous situations when it is necessary to formulate one’s opinion or take specific actions. For example, in situations where you need to make a choice between two actions, both of which may seem ethical. Consequently, the choice is difficult. The Code of Ethics can serve as a point of reference for choosing to act with respect and honesty.
RSU also invites every RSU representative to base their opinion or action on scientifically proven facts, critically evaluating and verifying the origins of the information and how reliable it is. This will help avoid the use and spread of misleading information, or disinformation, and will contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society in Latvia.
Each of us can be an example of integrity, collegial and responsible behaviour. This will contribute to the formation of a knowledgeable and intelligent society in Latvia!
