On 8 March, in the Elme Messer Baltic League final, Robežsardze/RSU lost to the Pärnu team in a five-set thriller – 2:3 (21:25, 19:25, 25:22, 27:25, 14:16). The intense battle lasted until the very end of the final set, where the home team proved to be slightly stronger.

After the match, team’s head coach Raimonds Vilde emphasised that the team had achieved more than expected this season. ‘I am proud of the players and their performance in the last matches. If someone had told me before the season started that we would finish second in the Baltic League, I would have laughed. We have done something no one expected from us and created a real surprise, but the season is not over yet,’ said Vilde. The coach added that after a difficult start to the match, the team managed to stabilise their serve reception and improve their attack, which allowed them to get back into the game and take the final to a dramatic fifth set.
