The International Student Ambassador Programme at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) brings together motivated, globally minded students who represent the university to prospective students, partners, and the wider international community. Ambassadors act as leaders, storytellers, and peer supporters who share authentic experiences about studying medicine, participating in research, enjoying student life, and being part of RSU’s dynamic international environment.

Meet Your International Student Ambassadors

Moving to another country and starting university is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. That's why our International Student Ambassadors are here to help.

Our ambassadors are current RSU students from different countries who remember exactly what it was like to prepare for this journey. They are happy to share their personal experiences and answer your questions about studying, living, and settling into life in Riga.

Whether you're wondering about academics, accommodation, student life, or what to expect during your first weeks at RSU, don't hesitate to reach out. Sometimes, the best advice comes from someone who's already been where you are.

Ask our ambassadors about...

  • what it's really like to study Medicine or Dentistry at RSU
  • moving to Riga and settling into your new home
  • accommodation and everyday student life
  • Welcome Week and your first days on campus
  • research, student organisations, sports, and extracurricular activities
  • their own experiences, tips, and advice for new students

our ambassadors are here to help.

Who are they?

Behind every International Student Ambassador is a unique story. Karlijn Op de Laak shares what inspired her to become an ambassador, the competencies the role requires, and how the experience has helped her grow both personally and professionally
