Objective

Provide the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and explain health-related outcomes and associated factors by applying fundamental concepts and principles of epidemiology and public health.

Prerequisites

Basics in causal philosophy; Basics in probability theory and mathematical statistics; Basics in biology and human physiology; English language.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.To understand and explain the role of epidemiology and public health in generating evidence-based health information and supporting decision-making.

Skills

1.Manage and present epidemiological data, and interpret the findings.

Competence

1.Apply and justify core principles of epidemiology and public health to evaluate and interpret population-level data and health measures, supporting evidence-based decisions that improve health outcomes and healthcare systems.
