On Friday, 17 October, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host the 19th Latvian Conference on Rare Diseases, organised by RSU, the Latvian Association of Rare Disease Specialists, and Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital. The conference is open to general practitioners, other medical professionals, as well as medical and healthcare students, residents, and representatives of patient associations, providing an opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge about rare diseases, including their diagnosis and treatment options.

On 7 October, the general meeting of delegates of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Trade Union, a suborganisation of the Latvian Trade Union of Health and Social Care Workers, took place. The umbrella union currently has 198 members, organised into 10 professional groups. At the end of September, these groups held meetings , during which 13 delegates were elected to participate in the general meeting.
On 23 October, at 9:30 a.m., a seminar titled Intersectionality in Research and Institutional Change will take place in Room 204 of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Pharmacy Research Centre (Konsula iela 21). The seminar will be led by Victoria Showunmi, Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Gender, Race and Identity at University College London (UCL).
The 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which annually evaluate the performance of more than 3,000 higher education institutions in research, contribution to education, international collaboration, and impact on the private sector, have been published.
