On Friday, 10 February, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will be celebrating as 397 Latvian and international students will receive their diplomas. The winter graduation ceremonies will finally be able to take place in person after a two-year break.
RSU management will address the graduates as will representatives of the state administration, and Riga Technical University (RTU) with which RSU has joint study programmes. The band Dziļi violets will play for the graduates, and musician Nauris Brikmanis will be the host of the event.
Young as well as experienced researchers from Latvia and abroad are getting ready to present a total of 1,118 research papers at the five international conferences that are part of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Week 2023. Research Week is held every two years and will take place between 27 and 31 March this year. The topics covered in the series of conferences range from health care and medicine to social sciences.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will be holding a workshop on the basic aspects of biostatistics, clinical and laboratory data management on 23–24 February 2023.

Hoshika Sivapalan is in her 12th semester and was previously the Medical Science Director of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA). Rini Stella Roy Francis Xavier is a medical student in her 6th semester and has been actively involved in RSU student life from her first year.
Zane Rožkalne will defend her doctoral dissertation on 1 March at 14:00 in an open meeting of the RSU Health and Sports Sciences Degree Committee. Her dissertation is titled 'Autonomy in Participation and Health Care and Transition Readiness to Adult Health Care for Young People with Cerebral Palsy Summary'.

The 288 new international students joining Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in the spring of 2023 are joining the University at a time of immense growth! RSU Rector, Professor Aigars Pētersons gave a speech at the opening of Orientation Week on Tuesday, 31 January outlining that RSU is modern research university that aims to become one of the world's top 500 universities.
