Assist. Prof. Valtýr Stefánsson Thors is a specialist in paediatric infectious diseases. He is currently the lead for paediatric infectious diseases in Iceland and works at the Children’s Hospital Reykjavik, Iceland as well as an assistant professor at the University of Iceland.
The international conference Modern Management of Severe Orthopaedic Injuries in War, Mass Casualty Situations, and Humanitarian Disasters will take place as a satellite conference to Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Week 2023 on 31 March.

On Tuesday, 21 February, Fulbright scholar M. Dujon Johnson visited the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Law to give a guest lecture on African-American Impact on International Law and Human Rights.
