The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Breakfast, Cognitive Sciences in Medicine, took place on 3 November 2021 on Zoom in English.
The biggest event of the year for the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) is the WorldWide/InfoFair. The event is a platform to showcase the various national, academic, social and sports groups under ISA. This was association's first event to take place in person after two years of remote studies. It was held on 8 October this year in Inspiration Park and adhered to all COVID-19 regulations in place at the time.
Graduate students form the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Health Psychology programme are providing psychological support to RSU students and staff online free of charge in cooperation with the Career Centre.

In order to increase doctors’, medical specialists’ and students’ knowledge of rare diseases and their treatment in Latvia, the 11th Latvian Conference on Rare Diseases is taking place on October 22, organised by the Latvian Alliance for Rare Diseases and Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).
The online conference Impact of COVID-19 on Vaccination will take place on 25 November. Latvian speakers and professionals from the field will be participating, and the conference will include a keynote speech by George Kassianos (UK), General Practitioner, the National Immunisation Lead for the Royal College of General Practitioners, President of the British Global & Travel Health Association, Chairman of RAISE, the Pan-European Committee on Influenza.
Licensing experts will visit the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Health Care doctoral study programme on 11 October. The visit will include meetings with university management, heads of the study direction and study programmes, lecturers, students, and representatives from employers. The visit is an important stage in the study programme’s licensing process.
The new study programme will combine the successfully implemented Medicine, Pharmacy and Psychology study programmes.

On Wednesday, 20 October, the Cabinet of Ministers supported a set of tight restrictions from 21 October to 15 November, which means that the on-site study process will be suspended in all the study programmes of Rīga Stradiņš University; and the studies will be provided remotely. Accordingly, students are not allowed to stay in RSU premises, i.e. RSU will not provide any services on site (provision of information and certificates, library and catering services, etc.).
An international seminar on New trends in autoimmune diseases immunological profiling will take place via Zoom on 27 and 28 October 2021, 10:00 - 17:00. It is organised by the EU H2020 funded project VirA in collaboration with project partners from Germany, Italy and Israel. The workshop will be held in English.
