Darja Ņesteroviča is a technical orthopaedist, a doctoral student at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and a researcher at the RSU Military Medicine Research and Study Centre. Ņesteroviča is currently working on her doctoral thesis about how the habits of wearing military boots and the anatomical peculiarities of feet may place undue burden on soldiers' feet and affect the frequency of injuries.

Madara Blumberga

Madara Blumberga, a second-year student from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Master’s Nursing study programme, was honoured at Riga Castle on 31 January at the closing event of the Meklējam sirdsmāsiņu campaign to search for the best Latvian nurse. Blumberga has worked as a paediatric nurse at the Children’s Clinical University Hospital for four years.

Mārtiņš Markovs and Daina Lazdeniece-Auniņa, trainers at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Sports Club, invite university students, lecturers and staff to participate in both group and individual sports classes online, starting from 7 April.

RSU students and staff can sign up for classes by clicking the "+ Join Group" button on the FB page below and enter their faculty or department.

The RSU Alumni Association's Annual General Meeting

This year, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Alumni Association celebrated its 10th anniversary. The association's annual general meeting took place on 4 March. The meeting was opened by Chairman Dins Šmits with a look back at what the association accomplished in 2019. Over this year the association grew by 30% and now has 550 alumni as members.

On 8 April, 10:00 - 11:00, Prof. Guntis Bahs, Vice-Rector for Health Studies, and Smuidra Žermanos, Dean of the International Department, will give the latest information about the study process and answer questions from international students.

The live session will be held in English and a video recording will be made available after the session.
