It's that time of year again! If you want to help create a better environment for international students at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), this is your chance to be the change you want to see.

The RSU ISA General Elections for the executive board will be held on 12 November 2019 from 17:30 to 21:00 in the Hippocrates Auditorium in the RSU Main Building.

There are 12 different board positions that you can apply for. You may apply for up to three (3) positions.

RSU students meet with British ambassador

Keith Shannon, the British Ambassador to Latvia, visited Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in October to meet with students from the UK. The visit took place as part of the event series Meet the Ambassador.

During his visit, Shannon gave an overview of the embassy’s work and other matters essential for UK citizens living in Latvia.

Cinema Lab

A good film can serve as an excellent tool for learning, especially when supplemented with a lecture delivered by a professional of the field – This is the idea behind the film lecture series Cinema Lab that commenced at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on 14 October 2019.

RSU medical residents represent Latvia at an international congress in Kiev

The annual Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Current and Discussable Matters congress took place between 3 and 4 October in Kiev. It was organised by the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Ukraine. Latvia was represented at the congress by a delegation made up of medical residents Elizabete Pumpure, Anita Ungure and Santa Smilga from the Gynaecologist, Obstetrician study programme of the Faculty of Continuing Education at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).

RSU ISA 8th Anniversary

The Rīga Stradiņš University International Students’ Association (RSU ISA) was founded in 2011 by a group of international students and is this year celebrating its 8th anniversary. As a part of the anniversary celebrations RSU ISA organised an entire week of celebrations from 14 to 18 October 2019. This anniversary was dedicated to the extraordinary contribution that the association’s members and supporters have made, and to those who have committed themselves to improving student life for the past eight years.
