The results of the HackForce hackathon were announced on Thursday, 19 March. The company Exonicus collaborated with the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education and Technology Centre (METC) and placed 3rd among 28 teams from all over the world.
Almost 200 healthcare students from Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) have responded to a call for volunteers and have expressed their readiness to engage in activities to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Latvia. Among them are 171 international students.

If they are used during pregnancy these active ingredients can cause congenital anomalies and developmental disabilities in newborns. Cases of this have already been reported on in several EU countries.
Due to the national state of emergency that was announced on 12 March in Latvia, all studies at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) are currently taking place remotely. The huge amount of work to ensure remote studies began already on 11 March.
