About Study Course
Objective
To promote the acquisition of knowledge and understanding about the development and structure of care theories. To develop the ability to formulate care problems taking into account the needs related to the patient's health disorders, to set care goals and priorities, to plan, describe and explain the care activities performed by the midwife, as well as to evaluate the results of the care process. To encourage students to analyze the activities of midwifery care in the context of theories of midwifery, to plan the care process based on current theories of health care and midwifery, be able to analyze them.
Prerequisites
Preliminary knowledge in propadeutics, physiology, anatomy, basics of pharmacology, psychology, philosophy, basics of clinical care in obstetrics, supervision of physiological pregnancy, physiological obstetrics.
Learning outcomes
As a result of completing the study course students gain basic knowledge of the development and structure of health care process and midwifery theories, as well as knowledge of patient care problems in various cases of health disorders.
As a result of completing the study course students will be able to describe and explain the possible solutions to the identified care problems. Will be able to independently develop a business plan.
As a result of completing the study course students will be able to create a systematic description of the clinical situation with defined care problems, description of care planning and solutions, description of assessment in the context of current theories of midwifery.
