About Study Course
Objective
Give oportunity to the students for practical training of students for work of physiological pregnancy management and care.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, functional and pathological physiology, supervision of physiological pregnancy, gynaecology and care and nutrition of a healthy woman, interpersonal communication in healthcare, public health and epidemiology, basics of clinical care and clinical care in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Learning outcomes
1.As a result of the completion of the study course, students acquire an understanding of the causes and characteristics of the onset of childbirth that indicate the onset of childbirth activity, will be able to clarify gestational time, promote childbirth activity, be able to outline natural methods of maternity pain, analyse cardiotocogram, describe physiological delivery and postnatal progress. As a result of the study course, students will be able to describe the functional condition of the newborn on the Apgares scale and outline the physiology and correct technique of breastfeeding.
1.Student will be able to assess complaints of pregnant women, obtain reproductive history, calculate body mass index and measure blood pressure, perform gynaecological investigation, collect cytological smear and bacterioscopical smear from vaginal flora, use indicator strip to test urine, determine foetal position using Leopold’s manoeuvres, prepare documentation in accordance with regulatory enactments regulating the record keeping procedure of medical documentation and records in medical institutions, explain the data of ultrasound and various biochemical markers, determine estimated date of delivery, use the terminology approved in pregnancy care, assess the nature of foetal movements and records of foetal heart tones.
1.The student will acquire the skills to perform the specific examination of the womaniser and the week-woman, to draw up a physiological delivery management and care plan, to document all activities performed during childbirth, to promote the womaniser’s likability in drawing up the plan and decision-making, to manage and accept physiological births in the front of the back of the head, to evaluate physiological developments of the early postpartum period, to assess the functional condition of the newborn on the Apgarde scale, to ensure accurate administration of the prescribed drug enterally, parenterally and to ensure an intravenous approach with the needle and peripheral venous catheter, as well as to assist new parents in initiating breast-feeding.
