About Study Course
Objective
To provide the opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical basic knowledge for teaching and improving various sports (orientation, walking, tourism, skating) in a sports and health class, in accordance with the content of the education of general educational schools.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of foreign languages at a sufficient level to understand specialist literature in English. Basic knowledge from school sport-orienteering, Nordic walking, tourism, skating. Study courses acquired: human anatomy and dynamic anatomy.
Learning outcomes
1.Identify the benefits of safety, physical fitness and health promotion in orienteering, tourism, nordic walking and skating. Understands the special terminology in Latvian and English
1.Able to use a variety of learning methods and means, to create a supportive and safe learning environment, and to organise training processes close to real life in orienteering , tourism, nordic walking and skating schools
1.To apply the acquired knowledge and skills to the teaching and development of Orienteering, Nordic walking, Roller skating and Tourism by planning an interdisciplinary and individualised learning process
