On Saturday 6 April the deciding games in the 1st League of Latvian Indoor Football were held at the Elektrum Olympic Centre in Riga. It was the first day of indoor football festival. RSU/BAO-Dobele won the champions' title with an unexpected and convincing victory over Nikers from Kuldiga (8:1).

15 teams took part in the 1st League season. They were divided into two groups – West and East. The winners from both groups met in the final after their respective victories over the second best team of the other group. RSU won by 4:2 and 3:3 over Ventspils University, and the team from Kuldiga was able to break the Salaspils’ defence in the penalty shoot-out (1:1, 3:3).

Regardless of the intense and equal battle at the beginning of the match, it quickly became clear how it was going to end when RSU scored three goals in quick succession. Pāvels Zagrebins added another goal in the 17th minute which resulted in a 4:0 score. At the end of the first half-time the Nikers team was forced to send their goalkeeper Artūrs Cīrulis over the centre of the field. In the last minute of the half-time Oskars Priedēns was able to score the first goal for his team closing the gap a little. During the second half-time, however, the players from Kuldiga were unable to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them during the game – twice they hit the crossbar, once the goalpost and finally capitulated with a difference of seven goals. Pāvels Zagrebins distinguished himself in the final with three precise kicks and Romāns Šteinboks was able to score two goals.
