Artūrs Utināns is Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy at Rīga Stradiņš University, a psychotherapist, psychiatrist and the author. He has graduated from the Medical Academy of Latvia, specialises in psychiatry and has studied psychoanalytic psychotherapy. In addition, Assist. Prof. Utināns has studied evolutionary psychology and psychiatry, psychoanalytic theories, psychodynamic diagnostics, cognitive behavioural and interpersonal psychotherapy. Utināns is the author and co-author of several books and more than 10 publications in Latvian and English. The psychotherapist is involved in research on the prevalence of critical thinking.
