Profile on RSU Research Portal
The department’s lecturers regularly participate in national and international research and development projects, working in multidisciplinary teams to design and implement psychological components and provide expert input. Research topics include strengthening the mental health of different population groups, improving working life, developing psychological assessment tools and interventions, and advancing digital solutions. Particular attention is given to doctoral researchers and to the active involvement of students in research.
Teaching and methodological work
The Department implements study courses:
- at the bachelor’s and master’s level for future psychologists, preparing highly qualified professionals to work in diverse settings;
- within healthcare study programmes, integrating psychological knowledge in an interdisciplinary context, with particular emphasis on the development of arts therapies;
- in sport psychology, in cooperation with RSU LASE, supporting the development of the field, with special focus on athletes’ mental health and psychological competence.
The study process is based on the latest scientific findings and evidence-based practice, combining theory, practical skills, and active involvement in research. It promotes the development of professional identity among future psychologists and enhances the psychological competencies of students in healthcare and sport programmes.
Cooperation
The academic staff of the Department collaborate with local and international partners – universities, research institutions, and professionals – in the fields of psychology, healthcare, and sport. Within the framework of this cooperation, joint research and development projects are implemented, and conferences and guest lectures are organised. These collaborations strengthen the interdisciplinary approach and enhance both the impact of research and the quality of studies.
