To evaluate physicians’, pharmacists’ and patients’ knowledge and adherence to the pregnancy prevention programme and risk minimisation measures for women of childbearing age intending to use medicinal products containing oral retinoids. To assess the extent of influence the recommendations from regulatory authorities have on the previously mentioned measures.

• To investigate the current nutritional situation of pregnant women in Latvia – to find out the prevalence of excess weight and related dietary habits, their physical activity, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D status.
• To identify main nutritional risk factors for both – mother and child.
• To create targeted interventional strategy for improvement of mother and child health on all levels – individual, organizational and political level.
