Ms Lāsma Metniece has been working in the RSU International Department as Project Manager for International Exchange Programmes since September 2024. Using her knowledge and language skills, she promotes successful cooperation between RSU staff and partner institutions around the world.
Lāsma is a project manager with experience in education, pharmaceuticals and translation, and in-depth knowledge of Scandinavian languages. Lāsma has a strong academic background in chemistry and biotechnology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, and more than 10 years of experience working in different cultural environments - Latvia, Denmark and Norway.
Fields of expertise/responsibilities
- Project management and coordination of Erasmus+ education programme
- Preparation, submission and monitoring of Erasmus+ mobility documentation for RSU staff in accordance with Erasmus+ programme requirement
- Communication with RSU staff
- Cooperation with international partners in education sector
- Cooperation with State Education Development Agency (VIAA) and participation in seminars
- Participation in Erasmus+ Staff week events organised by RSU
