Robežsardze / RSU volleyball team to compete in the Latvian Championship final

Robežsardze / RSU volleyball team has convincingly secured a place in the Latvian Championship final, defeating the Līgatne team 2–0 in the semifinal series. In the final, Robežsardze / RSU will face the Daugavpils team Ezerzeme / DU. The decisive matches for the Latvian Championship medals will take place in April.

In the semifinal match on 22 March, our team defeated the Līgatne team with 3–0 on the opponent’s court (25:18, 25:15, 25:18), confidently securing their spot in the final. The top scorers for Robežsardze / RSU were Jānis Teikmanis and Toms Kalniņš.

After the game, the team’s head coach Raimonds Vilde emphasised:

‘I asked the guys for greater effort than in the first match, and this time we played better, still the opponents also performed much better. On their home court, they served aggressively and made few mistakes. But we were stronger!’
