On 17 December, a decisive match between two teams from Riga took place at the Rimi Olympic Centre. The Riga Volleyball School/LU team and the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU)/MSG took to the court for the 2022 Cewood Latvian Volleyball Cup.

Last year, the two teams met in the semi-finals and the RSU team walked away with a victory. This year, however, the RSU team conceded to LU team. Agija Ankevica was the top scorer for RSU/MSG with eight points, while Anna Kovala scored six points. Laura Kristīne Vāvere was named as most valuable player.

This semester, other teams from the RSU Sports Club have also won medals and were victorious in both team and individual events.
