RSU brings educational activities to 12,000 school students at Čē Čē Čempionāts

On 30 May, the three-day Latvian school team-building festival Čē Čē Čempionāts (Čē Čē Championship) came to a close, marking its 20th anniversary. The event took place in Ogre Blue Hills (Ogres Zilie kalni) and attracted 480 school classes, bringing together nearly 12,000 students. Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) participated throughout the three-day championship, offering students a wide range of engaging activities designed to introduce them to the study opportunities available at the university.

At the RSU tent, students took part in creative games and workshops focused on international relations and social sciences, law, as well as communication and media studies.

Representatives of the RSU student media platform Skaļāk gave young people an opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes world of radio, podcasts and other multimedia content production. Students had the chance to try voice recording, conducting interviews and taking part in other engaging activities.

RSU Latvian Academy of Sport Education also organised sports relays, allowing students both to challenge themselves and gain insight into the learning environment within the sports sector.

All activities were designed to be both educational and entertaining, with a strong emphasis on hands-on participation, critical thinking and collaboration. Students also had the opportunity to experience simulation-based learning methods, which are an integral part of the study process at RSU. In addition, they were able to speak informally with RSU students, ask questions about studies, student life at the university and future career opportunities.

Čē Čē Čempionāts is an event where young people can explore their potential, discover their strengths, and build confidence in their own abilities. The championship encourages genuine collaboration, prompting youth to look up from their screens and build friendships that last a lifetime.

At the conclusion of the event, the top-performing classes competed for the championship title, as well as for special prizes provided by RSU.
