Decisive matches for medals were held last week in both the Latvian Women's Basketball Championship and the National Basketball League for men.

For the second year in a row, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) players managed to reach the Latvian Women’s Basketball Championship finals, which is the highest achievement for the RSU women’s basketball team. The women fought as hard as they could, and came in second overall after losing to the team TTT Rīga with a score of 89:63. Enija Paula Vīksne was chosen as the most valuable player of the final game with 14 points, followed by Evelīna Otto who scored 13 points. Since 2014, RSU has finished 3rd four times and 2nd twice in the Latvian Women’s Basketball Championship.

In the men's bronze medal match, the team RSU/VEF Rīga lost to Gulbenes Buki by 69:75. In this series, our players lost two games and thus finished fourth in the season.
