For Students

Two open lectures by renowned anthropologists will take place at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on 17 and 18 October 2019. The lectures will tackle the interaction between the state and kinship.

The Professor will analyse the close relationship between the state, kinship and care, and highlight the fact that kinship is not only influenced by the state but also shapes political structures.
