Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery provides clinical education in the largest Clinical University Hospitals in Latvia and thus ensures a source of patients with a wide range neurological diseases.

Our training programme allows students to gain knowledge about the function of the nervous system and the most common neurological and neurosurgical pathologies. Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery brings together a group of highly trained clinicians and we have strong interests in clinical neurological research, ranging from cerebrovascular to demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases.
