Egija Berga-Švītiņa will defend her doctoral dissertation on 20 September at 10.00 in an open meeting of the RSU Basic Sciences of Medicine, including Pharmacy doctoral committee on Zoom. Her dissertation is titled 'Identifying Genetic Factors Associated with Breast or Ovarian Cancer Risk in BRCA1 Pathogenic Variant Carriers'.
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Institute of Oncology and Molecular Genetics was established on 6 February 2024 by merging the Institute of Oncology and the Scientific Laboratory of Molecular Genetics.

We particularly keep our fingers crossed for the 22 students and graduates from RSU and the RSU Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE), who have travelled to the Olympic Games as part of the Latvian Olympic delegation.
