Džeina Mežale is a young researcher who already promoted science among RSU students during her studies by organising various scientific events within and outside the University. She was the person who, in cooperation with the RSU Student Union team, transformed the RSU Student Conference into an annual international event and the largest student conference in the Baltic States. Currently, she is a lecturer at the RSU Department of Pathology and a 3rd year student in the Doctoral study programme Medicine.

On April 4 and 5, Rīga Stradiņš University – for the fifth time on an international scale – will host the biggest student conference in the Baltics – the RSU International Student Conference “Health and Social Sciences” 2019 (ISC). The event will gather participants and experts from Latvia and foreign countries and will also have a large audience.

This autumn’s Meet the Ambassador event series organised by the International Department of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has come to an end. During these events international students had the opportunity to meet with and ask the ambassadors of their countries questions.

From 27 November to 11 January an exhibition titled "University Lecturers' Hobbies" can be viewed at Rīga Stradiņš University, shows the varied, interesting and creative personalities of the teaching staff at our university.
The exhibition displays 14 different objects created by the teaching staff and another 53 photopraphs depict the hobbies of current and former teaching staff.
On Wednesday, 29 November, the 6th Health Day was held – with a huge response from staff and students at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). During the event, participants had an opportunity to donate blood and undergo simple health check-ups, performed by prospective physicians – members of students’ scientific interest groups.
“Nowadays, when for the sake of successful communication, communication specialists are more frequently included in company management teams, understanding the specific features of business management and legal aspects seems a logical step,” views Liene Dupate-Ugule, who graduated from the Master’s study programme International Business and Law at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of European Studies.
