From 30 May to 2 June the European Paediatric Ophthalmology Society (EPOS) Conference will be held at the National Library of Latvia in Riga. The EPOS conference is an annual event hosted by a different country each year. For the first time the conference will take place in the Baltic States.
On 4 and 5 April the International Student Conference is being held as part of the widely celebrated Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Week. Last year's student conference gathered approximately 2000 participants from 25 countries, which were unprecedented numbers for an event of this kind in the Baltic States. This year students have the opportunity to demonstrate their scientific achievements in 17 sections covering the fields of social and health sciences, as well as to participate in workshops and attend guest lectures.
The 5th International Scientific Practical Conference ‘Health and Personality Development: an Interdisciplinary Approach’ will be held from 25 to 27 April. The conference aims to discuss the latest research results and practical work experience in psychological research, talk about assessment and help, as well as foster the integration of research into the study process.
Norwegian psychiatrist Tor Erik Blaafjell visited Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) on 2-3 March 2019 to teach a workshop on doctor-patient communication. The workshop was organised by the International Students’ Association.
This year is dedicated to research at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) with the annual Research Conference as a key event featuring presentations of studies in various disciplines and their results.
