The Rīga Stradiņš University Museum was founded on 4 September 2001. In 2013 the premises on 26A Anniņmuižas Bulvāris which house the collections were opened, and a permanent exhibition was created at 16 Dzirciema Iela. This exhibition’s concept was partially designed by artist Anna Heinrihsone and historian Valters Ščerbinskis. Up until then, the museum existed in suitcases and boxes.

The traditional RSU Freshers' Sports Day took place during the first week of the new semester. Both Latvian and international students gathered in Uzvaras Park on 5 September to participate in various team and individual sports.

Anna Junga will defend her dissertation on 8 November at 14:00 in an open meeting of the Medicine Degree Committee in the Hippocrates Auditorium (16 Dzirciema Iela). Junga's dissertation is titled 'The complex morphopathogenetic aspects of intraabdominal adhesions development and course in infants'.

Sandra Valeiņa will defend her dissertation on 25 September 2019 at 15:00 in an open meeting of the Medicine Degree Committee in the Hippocrates Auditorium (16 Dzirciema Iela). Valeiņas dissertation is titled 'Heterogenicity of Congenital Cataract and its influence on Pseudophakic Eye Refraction Changes'.

RSU acquires shares in Liepāja Regional Hospital

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) recently became a shareholder in Liepāja Regional Hospital in order to improve the quality of healthcare services, promote the attraction of human resources to Liepāja and strengthen the long-term cooperation between Liepāja City Municipality and Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).

The RSU mixed choir Rīga is currently looking for new singers. Auditions will be held on 12 September from 16:00.

Reherseals take place on Tuesdays and Thursday at 18:30.

Rector Aigars Pētersons: our hard work has yielded significant results

On Thursday 5 September, both university staff and partners of the university attended the traditional academic meeting of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons began his speech to the crowded hall by thanking the entire team for their excellent work.
