The newest RSU student hostel offers modern, high-quality, self-contained accommodation for students!

The new RSU student accommodation houses students right next to the RSU main building. The location makes it possible for students to roll out of bed and be ready for class in a couple of minutes without the need to think of the quickest transport route. Rooms and pricing

Rooms at this student hostel are divided into three categories and prices range from EUR 275 to EUR 460 per month.

Type C

Shared suite for 5 persons (total area 98.6 m²).

The suite consists of living space, kitchen area, a combined shower and toilet bathroom, WC and five separate bedrooms intended for one person.

Furnishing: single bed (bed linen, pillow, blanket and towels are provided), writing desk with a table lamp, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe with sliding door, kitchenette (consisting of electric stove, rangehood and refrigerator), dining table, sofa.

Kitchen utensils (pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, etc.) are not provided.

A double bedroom suite for 2 to 3 persons (total area 39.9–45.8 m²).

The suite consists of living space, kitchen area, a combined shower and toilet bathroom, two separate bedrooms intended for one person or a couple.

Furnishing: single-bed (bed linen, pillow, blanket and towels are provided), writing desk with table lamp, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe with sliding door, kitchenette (consisting of electric stove, rangehood and refrigerator), dining table.

Kitchen utensils (pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, etc.) are not provided.

The suite consists of living space, kitchen area and a bathroom with combined shower and toilet.

The price per room is fixed and includes utility costs (heating, electricity, water, WiFi and other administrative and maintenance costs). Before moving in, you have to pay the rent for the first month and a security deposit which is equivalent to one month’s rent and will be refunded within 4 weeks after the end of your rental contract.

The rooms are fully furnished: bed (bed linen, pillow, blanket and towels are provided), writing desk, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe, kitchenette (containing electric stove, rangehood and refrigerator) and a combined shower and toilet bathroom. Kitchen utensils (pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, etc.) are not provided.

The hostel is located next to the RSU main building, on the right bank of the River Daugava in the Dzirciems administrative district. There are shops and cafeterias within walking distance and the hostel is equally well connected to other vital destinations transport-wise:

Booking

As there are no more vacancies in Dzirciems student hostel, the application form is closed. The application form will open on 1 July, 2024 at 10.00 local time.

Parking

The student hostel has 37 underground and 32 open-air parking places. The hostel is connected to the underground parking facility.

Rates

Open-air parking: 35 EUR/month, or 10 EUR/day
Underground parking: 50 EUR/month, or 10 EUR/day

Accessibility

There are rooms available for people with reduced mobility - they are larger, the furniture is lowered and the showers and other facilities have been adapted (with a shower chair, supports, help button and adjustable mirror).

As the student hostel was designed and built, making all common areas suitable for people with disabilities was a priority. The common areas, the entrance door to the hostel, the lift and the entrance doors to the rooms are wide enough for wheelchair users, and the public facilities have been equipped for people with disabilities – they have a help button, supports and an adjustable mirror.
